HERE'S EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

ABOUT OUR CURRENT UNCONVENTIONAL REALITY! :)

WHO WE ARE: We consider the spot on planet earth we are stewarding meant for unconventional, nature-based & spiritual experiences dedicated to evolution, education, and a focus on individuals enjoying their best self, health & lives around a kindred spirit or two. :)

Though no longer the official 'community' we once were years ago, nor is the Founder delving into private mystery school endeavors to the degree explored in previous eras, we have by now become an informal worldwide, not-for-profit association of kindred spirits dedicated to spirituality, evolution, the care of human + planetary health, and education appropriate to these tumultuous, transformative times.

Still womyn-centric with a growing focus on Goddess Girl energetic connections during this potent time of the Divine Feminine rising here on Planet Earth, at times this home can be specifically women-only space; other times we happily enjoy welcoming connection with our male friends & couples.

(Though lately we have sometimes just been focusing on humans less in general overall & giving the land and her creatures a rest, just FYI!)

During times we are open to connecting with folks, we are (as always) happily diverse by race, age, artistic medium, spirituality, affectional preference, (etc!)...& in the interest of fostering sweet one-on-one interactions that resonate with conscious depth, we expect any visitors to this home to be respectfully substance-use (smoke/alcohol/drug) free. 

Everyone agrees to be 100% self-responsible for their own needs, safety, and belongings while they are at this tropical work-in-progress located within rustic rainforest on an active volcano.

Our creative, country-quirky environment with its kitchen, library/art/music room, bathrooms, banana tree forest, mediation areas, etc. are kept sacredly simple. Meals & adventures shared as mutually desired.

WHERE WE ARE: An easy drive from local farmer's markets, art galleries & art centers, Volcano National Park hiking & molten lava crater viewing, Hilo Airport, grocery & health food stores, waterfalls, and several black sand sea turtle beaches, we're also within country-walking distance of the island-style Hele-On bus between Hilo/Keauu and Kau/Volcano. (Though please note: if you want to come & go as you please, having a car is generally more convenient than this island's not-frequent bus system which operates Monday - Saturday; no service nights, Sundays, or holidays.)

HOW SUPPORTING US WORKS: 

Expressions of appreciation from friends far & wide -- from those who stay with us & those who don't; and from those who participate in day studies or long-distance magic with the Founder & those who don't -- are always sincerely welcomed! It's why, even with all the economic turmoil going on in the world & all our own personal changes, we are still here. Thank you sooooooo much for being glad we exist. :)

When we are open to sharing sacred time/space, there are three ways of prearranging that with various mutually agreed upon, prepaid, nonrefundable/nontransferable expressions of appreciation that we receive via our Paypal donations button (NOTE: sometimes folks request a creative combination of more than one of the below options):

1) We arrange specific days to enjoy immersing in an experience of ancient Mystery School work with the Founder...OR Professionally Creative Mentoring with the Founder (any artistic medium)...OR tailored Nurturing/Transformational time custom-designed for you by the Founder. Any of these options can be done here or meeting off-site, or they can be facilitated remotely if you are not on island.

2) You are just wanting to share time/space in nature doing your own thing.

3) You would like to help out as a partial work trader providing less monetary appreciation with 1.5 - 2 hours/day helping tend structures & grounds.

NOTE: In some years, we have connected with many new & old friends in these ways. Other years, we're doing different things. Inquire. :)

 

PARTIAL WORK TRADE OPTION: If you're interested in helping out, Partial Work Trade projects are assigned from current priorities & the things generally done around here, including: Hawaiian-style hand-clearing/maintaining of jungle trails/grounds; weather-protect staining/painting of structures (artistic creativity encouraged!); spring cleaning & organizing; laundry; planting or weeding; building/fixing/maintaining things like food planter boxes, gates woven from rainforest materials, & tarped storage jungleows; the getting & bringing away of materials like plant matter, household supplies, kitchen recycling, propane, rescue kitty & gardening supplies, etc.; &/or whatever would be most helpful for this environment at this time. No experience necessary, just a willing & happy-to-learn attitude! :) (Though if you happen to have specific  especially-useful-to-us skills you would like to share, or any particular bodily limitations, do let us know.)

Note: Those sharing time/space here via a Partial Work Trade will most LIKELY have a space to themselves (since we have been keeping things quieter around here these days)...but it is possible, at times, that helpers in spaces with more than 1 bed may get to room with another visiting goddess gal or 2, just fyi.

 

PLANNING A VISIT: When reaching out to plan some time together, please say a bit about yourself...who you are...your intentions for sharing time together...when you'd like to do that...& we'll take it from there. :) (Note: as a private home, we're happy to welcome folks for prearranged connections at a mutually agreed upon time set up in advance when we can. We aren't open to any kind of drop-ins or folks stopping by to just see what we're up to.)

 

FOCUS ON NATURE: What we're up to these days is cherishing peace, quiet, & timelessness as our little neck of the woods becomes more & more intimately wild-nature-focused, and diving into our own personal creative projects/spiritual practices in between watching native birds feast on tall grasses & Hawaiian medicinals now allowed to mature enough to seed.

But what does it mean to become more eco-friendly while having less human impact on an environment? To be with & in nature more, rather than admiring it from afar?

In this volcanic rainforest, the sun-rain-sun-rain weather can sometimes feel louder & more present than people. Anyone here enjoys working with these rhythms, and we prioritize protecting & respecting nature in its natural state. For those used to bustling cities & more cultivated/controlled/'happening' environments, this can be an adjustment since people here ARE touched by plant life, and by the elements (sun & moon shine, air, dewdrops, rain)!

Our environment ebbs & flows with iridescent skink lizards, butterflies, dragonflies, chameleons, singing tree frogs, outdoor kitties, and also, from time to time, roaming families of wild pigs with spotted piglets come out of the forest, and if you're still, they may hang around awhile to graze & root. (So far, things like mosquitoes have remained blessedly rare.)

Organic food can be grown as we have always treated the land with as much good (non-toxic) care as possible.

 

SERVICES: We have electricity for lights, refrigeration, cooking...and we also now have WIFI...

...but in general we're in the process of transitioning towards more & more collaboration with the Spirit of the goddess Pele along with this specific Land. Rather than trying to conquer it, we enjoy things like solar showers, for example, and make it a point to learn to inventively recycle, repair, reuse -- fixing & fashioning things with natural materials whenever possible -- rather than discarding to consume. (All this can be quite the adventure! A desire & ability to slow down & be mindful is necessary.)

 

WHAT TO KNOW & BRING:

* a flashlight (stars are gorgeous when skies are clear because night is quite dark without city lights around!)

* sturdy shoes & easy slip on/off shoes (like most places in Hawaii, we're a "no shoes inside" household)

* warm & cool weather clothing (days tend to be mild year-round; nights can sometimes be chilly; & if you're planning to head up Mauna Kea, at that elevation there can even be snow!)

* whatever you like to eat (there's a "food-to-share shelf" anyone is welcome to take from & add to; sometimes there's lots of yummy stuff there, other times not, just depends who has been here & what they've contributed),

* your Spirit of Adventure! :)

 

LONGER STAYS, PRIVATE SESSIONS + TELE-CONSULTATIONS:

Arranging longer stays, custom-designed professional, creative, &/or spiritual-type mentoring with this environment's Founder, &/or long-distance guided transformation is sometimes possible, schedule permitting.

Collaborative "mystery school" work is generally done as individual sessions &/or in arcs of pre-scheduled 4 - 6 deep-dives that typically range from 2 - 5 hours each session, often including time at off-the-beaten-track sacred sites, and typically focused on evolving in the direction(s) a participant most wants to go (though sometimes the Universe throws in surprises towards Soul Growth that can also have its own requirements). NOTE: Setting aside sacred, shared time/space for days/weeks/months experiencing any of the above is always arranged in advance.
