So, here on the Big Island of Hawai'i, the weather over the past decades that we've savored it, has generally followed the pattern of: rain, sun, rain, sun, rain, sun.
Oh sure, sometimes it's been all sun, sun, sun for a time (...the way most folks from elsewhere expect it to be every minute; but here's a quick heads-up: that's a myth perpetrated by the travel/tourism industry).

We did have a drought of 3 months or so a while ago, which was hard on most folks around here who are on water catchment systems...
...but, actually being rainforest jungle, the weather patterns of this area can just as easily be mostly rain, rain, rain for a time instead.
At least that was the prior experience of living here...
This past year, however, we do seem to be getting more dry, sunny, blue sky weather than rain.
Significantly more.

And storm...including a recent doozy that was reported in the New York Times.
So this isn't another time of no-water drought.
But there does seem to be a clear difference to previous weather patterns over the years.
Perhaps like other places in the world now too...?
Because lately we've just been getting mostly sun, sun, sun.
Which is great for tourists, but not so great for water catchment systems, or even somewhat for plants that do like sunshine, but also get thirsty.
Is this climate change...?
Or a product of weather modification/manipulation...?
Note: humans should never have been experimenting with Mother Nature in terms of 'weather modification' or weather manipulation the first place, but they have been.
Sometimes quietly.

What the cause(s) of all the significant changes in weather patterns in our location are, no one here personally knows for sure...
But thought we'd mention what's being observed.
Always interested to hear anything you've been noticing in your neck of the woods about what the weather's doing...or anything else (!)
